Memorial Employees Walk4Life

Memorial Hospital’s 12-week program Walk4Life was completed at the end of August, and winners were named in a special ceremony on September 10, 2009.  In total, the 32 Memorial Hospital employees who completed the competition walked 19,630,821 step—or 9,815.41 miles.  That is the equivalent of walking  across the United States from east to west over 3 times!

Mr. and Ms. LIFE (the winners of the competition) were Wayne Dubbels and Norma Perrin.  For the men, 2nd and 3rd place went to David Cotton and Robert Hyden, respectively, and for the women, Bobbie Henson and Nancy Clem.

There were 5 people who walked over 1 million steps individually (or over 400 miles) as well:  Donna Tucker, Nancy Clem, Nancy Smallwood, Bobbie Henson and Norma Perrin.

Congratulations to all who participated and completed this program
