The Steele Reese Foundation in New York issued a $40,000 check to Memorial Hospital for the purchase of centralized monitoring in our emergency department.
"Between grants and our GIVE 30 program, we are hopeful the centralized monitoring equipment will be purchased by June 2007," states Sandra Stokley, executive director. "We originally requested the money for our OB department. Because we have covered the cost of centralized monitoring in OB, the foundation is allowing us to use the $40,000 for our emergency department project."
The centralized monitoring project will cost approximately $180,000. Additional grants have been submitted requesting funds for the emergency department's centralized monitoring equipment.
