Manchester, KY – In 2014, for the fourth consecutive year, the Adventist Health System’s employees, which include the 514 employees at Manchester Memorial Hospital (MMH), were recognized for being one of the best-performing, most productive and most engaged workforces in the world.
To commemorate the Managers who achieved Best Practice and World Class scores on their Gallup Survey in 2014, the Manchester Memorial Hospital administration organized a recognition banquet in their honor. The banquet was a formal event held at EKU Manchester with the managers, their families, hospital board members and foundation board members in attendance.
The event started with an introduction by Erika Skula, MMH CEO. Following that was an award ceremony in which the Best Practice and World Class Managers were given crystal awards.
After the Best Practice and World Class Manager awards were given out, Erika showed her heart-felt appreciation by presenting long-standing employees with service awards for their loyalty. All employees, five years and up, were present at the event with their families and received certificates and pins, denoting their years of service. To add to the specialty of the evening, the event was catered by MMH Chef Terry, which helped foster the beautiful ambiance throughout the event.
To conclude the ceremony, a message from Don Jernigan, Adventist Health System’s (AHS) CEO was broadcasted where he expressed his gratitude for the more than 1,000 years of combined service at the event. “I would like to extend a sincere thank you to all Manchester Hospital employees for their service and for carrying on our traditions” said Jernigan, “we are truly blessed and thankful for their outstanding service.”
