Manchester, KY: What better way to celebrate June as Men’s Health Month than by combining free health screenings and classic cars at a Car Show!
The event “Crusin’ in the Park’ was the second car show of the year and saw an average of 50 cars and about 200 attendees. Held at the Rawlings-Stinson Park on June 22nd 2014 from 1pm-5pm, it drew a lot of men to come out and not just enjoy the cars but also take care of their health. To facilitate them in doing so, the Manchester Memorial Hospital’s Mission in Motion unit was on-site to conduct various health screenings. The unit also handed out a lot of informative and educational material on men’s health.
The show, which was coordinated by Clay County Cruisers featured about 50 cars, food, entertainment, door prizes and lots of fun people in attendance this year. There are 4 more car shows planned for this calendar year and the hospital’s Mission in Motion unit plans to be present at all of them to offer free screenings to the community.
