Welcome To Our Hospital

Erika Skula, MBA
President and CEO

In February 2012, Erika Skula was named the new president and chief executive officer (CEO) for Manchester Memorial Hospital.  She took office on August 1, 2012.

Erika Skula has been at Manchester Memorial since 2001 serving in multiple roles including controller and chief financial officer (CFO), and in 2011 added the additional responsibility of chief operating officer (COO).

Prior to her joining the hospital, Mrs. Skula served as Chairman of the Business and Communication Department at Kingsway College in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada from 1988-2000. She graduated from Andrews University in Michigan and holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in business administration.

We sat down with Erika to ask her a few questions about her vision and goals for Memorial Hospital.
What do you hope a patient or visitor will experience at Memorial Hospital?
I believe when someone arrives at our hospital they will  find healing in a safe environment  They will experience care and compassion and receive appropriate communication.
What long term goals and plans do you have for the hospital?
We want to grow our specialties so that our community members can get the care they need locally.  As the sole hospital in our area, we want to give them the opportunity to stay home for their care.  We recently added a team of nephrologists to our staff who specialize in kidney disease diagnosis and treatment.  We hope to grow in many areas and are looking for opportunities  to add a sleep lab, pulmonologist, and oncology.
What are you most proud to offer through the hospital?
I am most proud of the people who work for us--employees who are excellent in their field and truly care about people.  Also, I'm proud that we can offer our two new OB/GYN providers who are growing our women's care.  We also have a Weekend Express Care after hours clinic, and we continue to have a strong pediatrics program that we are glad to be able to offer families in this area.

What does the hospital's mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ mean to you?
As CEO, it means that I am the hands and feet of Christ.
